Hadoop + Lucene :: Apache Lucene Euro Con 2011
Hadoop has been evolving through continuous research and tremendous contributions by few core companies - Yahoo, Hortonworks, MapR and Cloudera. Without this research, we would be digging a grave with un-manageable and useless data in-front of us. These days storage is much much cheaper and if hadoop can act on un-structured ton of data to answer questions, we have a lot to look forward to from there on.
